The BLU Podcast
The BLU Podcast is my outlet to share intelligent perspectives, meaningful conversation, fun and entertainment. It will include a wide variety of guests with different knowledge and wisdom to share. I want to share those conversations and laughs with anyone who is interested.
The concept for the podcast is simple. I live a blessed life, surrounded by good people and I want to share knowledge, fun and laughter with the world. …What better place to do that than on campus…at the Blessed Life University Podcast!
My Beliefs
Kindness is contagious. To me, kindness has been a universal language. I have been able to get along with people of all different races, cultures and backgrounds by acknowledging them and starting from a position of kindness and respect.
I believe that good people make other people good. So I urge you all to be good to yourself, your family, your friends and your community.

About Me
Brian Tierney is the first lawyer in his family. His father emigrated from Ireland to America in the 1960s where he met Brian’s mother and lived the American Dream. Brian’s father was an electrician by trade and coincidentally his mother (still living) was a secretary at ComEd. Brian’s father instilled the ferocious determination and ironclad work ethic in Brian that his father brought from the old country of Ireland.
Brian began working at a golf course at age thirteen and worked numerous jobs in various fields before becoming a lawyer. He was the lead singer of the acclaimed Chicago South Side heavy metal band Impulse Greed, rocking the stage at premiere venues throughout the Chicagoland area.
After his time as a singer, Brian took an interest in becoming a lawyer. He was interested in worker’s rights and labor law, seeking to help workers like his parents and to better the lot of working people. He took the same passion and energy he had as a singer and applied them in law school. During law school Brian’s interest changed to transactional law and real estate due to the great professor’s he had.
Brian attended Chicago’s John Marshall Law School and earned honors, becoming a member of the John Marshall Law Review, the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and the Mock Trial Team. He was an ethic’s scholar and externed for several judges in the mortgage foreclosure division of the Cook County court. Brian also had the distinct honor of externing for the late, great federal judge John W. Darrah.
Brian’s practice is headquartered on the South Side near Chicago’s Midway Airport. He specializes in real estate law and has knowledge in Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Corporations, LLCs and Probate law. In his spare time, his interests include physical fitness, boxing, mixed martial arts fighting, attending concerts, spending time with his family and friends and all things Irish and American.
